What is a radio code?
A 4-digit code protects the audio systems of Ford Fiesta vehicles. Whenever the device detects a power failure, the anti-theft mode is activated and the next time it is switched on, it asks for the key code. The music system is locked until the correct one-time code is entered.
Ford Fiesta radio models
Fiesta cars (the most popular are the 2007 and 2008 models) come with different models of audio systems. The 6000 CD, 4500 RDS EON and SONY are the most popular. Regardless of your model, all of these models are eligible for key code unlocking. The only difference between them is the methodology used to determine the V or M serial number needed for the calculation.

Find 6000 CD serial — 2004 to 2007 model.
Turn ON your 6000 CD audio system, wait three seconds, and then hold buttons 1 and 6 until you see different information appear on the screen. Since the serial number only appears briefly, we recommend taking a video with your phone. Your identifier appears after about 20 seconds in this format: letter V followed by six digits. Example: V123456. Note: Some 6000 CD models do not display this serial number on the screen, so you must remove them to see the identifier on the back label.
Find 4500 RDS EON serial — model 2004 to 2008.
The 4500 RDS E-O-N radio models manufactured through 2008 had a simple procedure to determine the serial number. Switch the device on and press and hold buttons 2 and 6. The identifier (M series) appears on the screen — for example M123456.
Find the Sony CD series — 2007 to 2012.
Turn on the audio system, see “Enter Keycode” on the screen and press buttons 1 and 6 at the same time. As with the CD model 6000, the serial number appears only briefly, so it is recommended that you record a video so you can pause it. The serial number will appears in this format: SOCDX1V123456.
Other Compatible Radios
If your Fiesta is older, it may have a different radio model. The serial number can be found on the label attached to the housing of the device. You must remove your music system to see this label. The serial number always begins with the letter M or V, followed by six digits — for example, M123456 or V123456.
